"I am the owner and director for SoCal Endurance and the SoCal Bike Enduro series. In order to make our events a success, we have to have the top of the line equipment and materials. We use our equipment hard and in all types of environments from 120-degree desert climates to 12,000 ft elevations in freezing temperatures. It is crucial that we trust in our equipment and the functionality of our systems! Without our equipment there can be no racing or events. I was a little skeptical about incorporating these generators at first. Our events are very remote and a lot depends on the generators working consistently. We have been using Honda generators for over a decade and often times it can be hard to make changes. But we decided to give the Powerbuilts a go. After 6 months of continued use and abuse, I can honestly say that I am very impressed. The generators have done everything asked of them and more. They are lighter than the Honda’s and start on the first pull every time. At a recent event it was raining and hailing on us and a lot of our equipment was having issues, but not the Powerbuilt Generators. We turned them on - they purred like kittens. We even plugged in small heaters and they powered them like champs. My staff were happy campers and I was very impressed! I have had these generators for 6 months, and I look forward to many more events to come. I have become very dependent on these units and I trust them. I recommend them to anyone looking for portable power!"
"When I first saw this generator I was like, "Wow! Powerbuilt has a generator," it has to be good for that to happen. When you firsts open the box, it has quality written all over it. The unit is light weight and carries pretty balanced. The plastic covering looks and feels pretty sturdy and has a comfortable handle . The spark plug is easy to get too for service, no more cut hands. The starting procedure is straight forward, no ritual dances and swearing involved. Actually the unit has a very light pull making it easy for almost anyone to start it. I got it to run about 4.5 hours, but I really had it under load to test the capabilities.powered almost everything on the rv trailer except the Ac.. TV's, small appliances and of course the laptop for those play / work weekends. The USB outlets are pretty nice too. For the money you pay for this, it is a mighty tough machine.. should cost more but it beats the Honda price wise by a couple hundred $$. My only concern with all the plastic body was heat. it does a pretty good job of keeping the heat away from you, but I was fearing the generator might overheat in our hot valley and desert summers. So far I have run it on 100 degree days and she was still running. I feel this is a great small portable unit great for job sites, tailgating, camping, and as a back up emergency power source for natural disasters. Take a look."
